Washington
Brewers Festival

Beer + Music = FUN!
(The following description is for last years festival)

Fireworks and airplanes won't be the only thing you'll see in Tacoma on the 4th of July. Starting on Friday the 2nd through the 4th of July, thirty-five of the Northwest's finest brewers will be getting together for the Washington Brewers Festival. The Ram Restaurant has come up with the perfect formula to make this years 4th of July weekend one that will never be forgotten. There will be all types of activities for everyone to enjoy. There is a live music stage that will be rockin' all weekend long. 11 great performers make up this year's entertainment. Starting on Friday the 2nd at 5:00 PM Orosco takes the stage. Tacoma could not ask for a better Latin Rhythm group to kick off the festivities. Closing the stage that night, will be the Marvelles. This high-energy group will be covering great tunes from Blues to Motown sounds, such as the Supremes and the Temptations.

Saturday the festivities will consist of 4 bands that start at Noon. The soothing sound of Darren Montamedy is one that will tickle the fancy of any jazz lover. If swing is your thing, there is no one better than Pat 'Guitar Slim' Chase. Next, Kevin Jones is songwriter who has an electro/acoustic flavor. He will be playing his own work as well as some covers. The last band to take the stage on Saturday will be Jr. Cadillac. This classic rock band will be covering everything from oldies to the Eagles.

The beer and music will continue to flow once again on Sunday, the 4th of July. A line up of 5 bands will start at 11:00 in the morning. The leadoff band is Guarneri Underground. This is a New World music band that has an attractive sound so original that you can't afford to miss them. Jim Basnight will get the crowd in to the 4th of July mood with his fast-paced guitar riffs. Sha-Ka-Ta is an African high-life percussion group that will get everyone dancing and hoping around. Majic Avenue will be playing classic rock cover songs and before you know it, you'll find that you're singing right along with them. Jonathan Harris is one of the Northwest's hottest new country stars. He and his band Long rider will be headlining the C.I Shenanigans Stage from 8:00 to 10:00 that night.

Also on Sunday don't miss the TCI airshow at 3:00, and the Fireworks Extravaganza at 10:30. So this holiday weekend, drop buy the Washington Brewers Festival. It takes place across the street from the Ram Restaurant and C.I. Shenanigan's. All it costs is $20 for a pass to sample some of the best beer in the Northwest.
