The Fred Hoadley Trio

The Fred Hoadley Trio is a Latin jazz combo that blends Afro-Cuban rhythms with modern jazz harmony for a rich, 'spicy' sound! With a repertoire ranging from jazz standards to contemporary classics and Latin-jazz originals, this versatile trio provides a sophisticated atmosphere for any gathering. The trio's members have diverse backgrounds. Hoadley was an original member of Seattle
salsa band Bochinche, has toured with Kukrudu, a West African jazz band, and started the seven piece Seattle based Latin-jazz band, Sonando. Bassist Miguel Garrido hails from San Jose, Uruguay, has performed with a Brazilian trio in Spain and toured Europe and North Africa with Batuke. Conga player and percussionist Tom Bergersen has performed with several Northwest Latin bands, including Bochinche, Los Boys and El Conjunto Fabuloso. He has studied at Stanford University with The Danza Nacionale de Cuba under the direction of Regino Jimenez Saez.
