Umber Sleeping

Umber Sleeping creates a mood, energy and sound that sets them in their very own category. Although some audible influences that come to mind like early New Wave, 60's pop, early 70's prog, old video games, and even jazz all play an important part in the outcome of this all original Washington group's sound they can never be pigeon-holed in any one direction. The trio consists of Doug Morse on guitar, Peter Tietjen on drums/vocals and Andrew White on synths. An all Tacoma line-up that began back in 2006 when Morse and Tietjen joined forces. Andrew has been in the fold as the keyboardist as of just recently this past year.

"Some of the most beautiful and psychedelic hybrids of late 70's new wave heard anywhere."
-The Weekly Volcano

"These guys do some real straight up magic with a mix of psychedelic rock, progressive rock, and tripped-out 70's influences . . . ."
- CDBaby
