Quichua Mashis

PERFORMING AT THE TACOMA FREEDOM FAIR
JULY 4, 2004 FROM Noon to 9:00 p.m.
HAMILTON PARK

Quichua Mashis is the culmination of ten years of dedication and determination. The members have worked together playing traditional and current music from the Andes Mountains in Europe, South America, Japan, Canada and the United States. For four years they have been firmly established in the Northwest with Seattle as their home base. The members are Quichua Indians from northern Ecuador. The music they share has been passed down through generations, reflecting their struggle, their spiritual journeys through history, and their connection to "Pacha Mama" (mother earth). Quichua Mashis has participated in a wide variety of events, including public and private schools, universities, nightclubs, festivals, concerts and corporate functions. Their excellent reputation has been earned not only by their professional approach and attitude but also by their spirited and skilled talents.
