PERFORMING AT THE TACOMA FREEDOM FAIR

JULY 4, 2001 FROM 3:30 PM TO 4:30 P.M.

ON THE COMMENCEMENT PARK STAGE

Jeanette Alexander composes soulful and heartfelt piano music that takes the listener on a spiritual journey.    She is scheduled to perform on the Commencement Park Stage from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. for Tacoma’s Freedom Fair this Fourth of July.

Alexander released a CD in 1999, “Still Point” that began as the #1 best seller at the East West Bookshop in Seattle and now is a certified international hit. The well-received CD included accompaniment from several local artists.

“I find that I naturally write music that touches the inner quiet of a person.  It touches their heart, their hopes and that quiet place, that Still Point, we all have,” Jeanette Alexander said.  “The kind of music I write is a reaction, I think, to the hectic lifestyle that is so much a part of New York City.  In New York, there is so much noise.”

Alexander was originally from New York City and has called Seattle home since 1990.  She began developing her unique style of music in the 80s that is described as emotional, tranquil and spirited.

Alexander performs in and around the Seattle area either solo or with other musicians, promoting her music and CD everywhere she goes to play.  She is almost done producing her second CD that is tentatively titled “Setting Sail” that is scheduled to release in November 2001.

For melodic songs that evoke peacefulness and introspection don’t miss Jeanette Alexander performing live at Tacoma’s Freedom Fair from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on the Commencement Park Stage accompanied by violin and percussion.
